British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.

  4. All of this increase in support for Yes registered by the polls has occurred among those who voted Remain. On average, the five polls find that 57% of Remain voters would now back Yes, compared with 50% in the second half of last year. In contrast, at 32%, the level of support for independence among those who voted Leave is little different from the figure obtained last year (34%). The claim that Brexit does not pose any risk to Scotland’s future membership of the Union now looks significantly more difficult to sustain.

  5. I've always been under the impression that the indi 2 vote was refused because the vote demands that there is a consistent request by the majority of Scots for one.

Apart from one or two instances of polls above 50% and even then by only a point or two, if you averaged every single poll since indi 1 when Scots said no thanks, they have always been below 50% and as such, no majority was asking for one. Sturgeon and the snp would know this as would the U.K. government.

  6. Where does the info come from? What are the questions on the polls, and how large are they?

I am much more interested in polls which are reported in this form even if they are done by a titled Tory

  7. prof john curtice is the polsters polster. he uses all the them and draws conclusions from them.
i think you guys have been led to believe there has been non stop campaigning going on here since 19th of september 2014. nothing could be further from the truth, while there has been grass roots activity and it's been intesifying as more of the "vow" was being ignored. there has been nada from the greens and SNP. which is why they lost votes in the 2017 GE. 500K of them. only 40K went to other partys.
get this election out the way. and take it from there.

  9. He's on crack

In a speech, he also said Brexit would likely mark the "real end of the British Empire".

As usual, the people mentioning the British empire the most, are the remainers. It hasn't clicked with them yet that we just voted to leave a block that wants to be an empire.

  14. he should be.

  15. I think you are alluding to the Brexit vote in an effort to "win" a circular discussion we have had several times. There's nothing whatsoever to be gained by a tedious back and forth that contains no new info so...
