I get what you mean but your graph is by the industry trying to tell us we all need fibre broadband. A bit like telling us that unless we all eat gold flavour crisps then no one in the u.k. eats crisps at all. The fact remains, over 94% of the U.K. is using the internet and we have one of the heaviest traffic uses within europe so it seems not having fibre optic broadband doesn't seem to be holding us back at all
I totally understand what you are saying about usage. The discussion was more about how are the UK accessing the internet in their homes and businesses, what infrastructure is in place and being provided by BT.
I get it do, what I was raising is not only is labour telling you that you can have fb by 2030 (we would probably have that by that date by normal technical advances without labour) but it's being sold like a new iphone. The 70gb broadband you have today is fan fecking tastic but the same internet the next day is now obsolete if fb kicks according to the marketing boys now trying to sell and charge for fb. It's an issue Labour should have stayed away from, it's made them look stupid and no doubt cost votes
Everything is always bad if Labour wants to do it, right up until the second the Tories announce they want to do the same thing.
torys want to improve the service infrastructure, I'm dubious as to why they haven't done it yet Labour wants to power grab all of the internet companies so the state now controls our access to the internet,pretend it's all free and taking on massive pensions responsibilities we could never afford

I pick on whoever promises they will do something, is actually in a postion to do so, but then doesn't do it at all. Especially when they have had more than enough time to at least make a good start. Currently thats the Tories. Labour are not in power.
