Hi, I've placed the order and my new multistrada is arriving in march, the first change I want to make is to get rid of those ridiculous fluid tanks, cheap and nasty( how could you Ducati?) i like the Rizoma next fluid tanks and wondered if anyone has fit them? if so what sizes? did you have to buy brackets or did they just plug n play? Any other tips for the multi , i know i gotta trawl thru the posts. also termi vs leo vince? in anticipation see you on the road Gil
Brake and clutch reservoirs are brembo items so not cheap or nasty, but it's a taste thing I guess. Too many exhaust options, plenty on here but termis are the defacto standard on any Ducati although the quality isn't great compared to akras etc
don't mean to offend but they do look cheap and they do look nasty, brembo or not. i know the termis are defacto, i been riding my 999 for seven years, i like the leo decat pipe and i heard its the one, the termi will fit but the leo slip on has a removable db baffle, just in case. does the termi? hmmm i'm not good at decisions.
Termi stubby doesn't have a baffle as most of the noise is suppressed in the cat. Have a look around the forum specifically CJS Ducati's posts as he's done plenty of remaps with various combinations with some differing results.
I have the 'full open Termi pipe'. The 1 you have to remove when changing wheels. It has remove-able baffles. Needs to be kept clean and looked after, looks crappy when not cleaned. Freak has a good idea, call or visit CJS to get it set-up if you change the exhausts. Can re-map using a standard ECU I think. Works alongside Luigi Moto, both good guys tbh.
real choices are either : (the cat has to come off for any noise and performance gain, else you're just cosmetically upgrading (ie stubby) ducati's full termi (with new ecu and air filter) or de-cat pipe and a choice of end cans (like leo, quad d) sometimes sold together PLUS ecu-reprogramming with CJS/a.n.other Got my full termi after 2 years of ownership and it has transformed the bike - if you can afford it (or get one secondhand from someone selling their like I did) then go-for-it. bugs
+1 Quat-D's. Gods exhaust. Accept NO substitute; unless it's the Ti Akropovic. Go to MotoWheels in the US.
Have you any pics of the full termi on the bike, I just shied off buying one because(please don't be offended its only my opinion) I was disappointed with the look, to put it politely. I thought it would be all carbon like every other ducati model or the slip on but it just looks rubbish
Best to look in the flesh. I wasn't that impressed (but though the performance was worth it) but looks good when I saw on a bike. Simply because its slim and hugs the profile. Kind of suit the Multi in some ways. Understated style.
yeah I agree it does look better on the bike, hmm back to taking decisions. thanks for all your input peeple Save me Jeebus
Anyone have picture of a QD equiped bike with center stand? How does that go? Heard something about a revised stand stopper on the newest QD`s, but I have not seen any pictures of it.. And do the Multi get the real, deep, bassy Ducati sound with theese pipes? Have heard Multis with Termi and Arrow, but it is just noise.. Miss my old Termi equiped Monster S2R when I start my Multi
My centre stand wouldn't fit without taking a grinder to the QD so it didn't go back on but plenty on here have it sorted. Do they allow video uploads on here. If so ill put something on so you can here the beast.
