959 New V2 Panigale

  1. For a road going sports bike I would be looking at one of these over the v4, not a lot not to like really and 10k in the bank, no insurance issues, I think Ducati will sell a lot of these.

  2. They're also probably a good shout for a track bike too. If the electrons suite is improved then matched with that 160bhp its probably just as fast in most peoples hands (racers/professionals excluded)

  3. I agree with the comments about, I really think it could be the most popular one yet, even with the price. They have the Supersport S at £12k ish, so they are spreading the range quite nicely.

  4. i just wish it was a little.....prettier.

  5. It's better looking than the 959 I reckon, at least when taking the exhaust and swing arm into account

  6. I agree the back end is a vast improvement, especially with the £4k Akras but really not sure about the fairing/tank interface. Its one that I think may well look a lot better in the flesh though.

  7. At first glance of the left-hand controls of the Pani V2 compared to the Multistrada with cruise control shown on the right, I would say no but with guarded optimism.

  8. I took my 959 Panigale to the track: Heavenly and much faster than I can handle.

  9. No disrespect to you Livefast, but that video review sucks.

  10. They have all rushed to be first so I’m hoping for something better - a proper video review by Micheal Neeves would be good - I like his stuff.

Still - I enjoyed the onboard footage as a taster.

edit - more onboard footage - this time from the official Ducati test rider - quick!

  11. There are days where I really miss my Panigale 959. That's why I'm really paying attention to this bike.
Given more track days, i'm back in the Panigale world.
Notwithstanding, the 959 didn't scare the Beejesuus out of me like the Monster 1200 did.
Some days, I just need that feeling that i'm on the edge. Does that make sense?

  12. The written reviews are pretty glowing, sounds like it could be bang in the sweet spot for the majority on track.

I'd still prefer a v4, but to me the Ducati v4 doesn't sound like one anyway, so I'd happily look at the v2 or the Aprilia rsv4. Reckon I'd fit the ducati easier though

  13. As damodici say's the written reviews are glowing. I asked a dealer if I order when it will arrive and they reckon Dec/Jan. I'm off to the Motorcycle Live at the NEC in a minute, and think I may come home via Ducati Coventry to enquire about ordering and pex.

  14. In a nut shell....:motorcycleduc::upyeah:

  15. IMHO these mid range bikes are about right for most riders, more umph than a Jap 6', but without all the extra management needs of a new gen thou'.

  16. £165 a month is very doable

  17. Someone is going to buy one......

  18. Only 10 seconds off the Motogp fastest race time this year. That is very impressive.

  19. No heated grips :( (the dash image with a heated grips icon posted was just because they use the dash on multiple bikes).

It's a shame that BMW can put cruise and heated grips on their S1000RR, and this is supposedly more of a road bike than the V4 and Ducati can't.

Had a sit on one at the NEC today, looked nice, but was slightly disappointed, the bike is more 'on it's nose' than the 899 and you can feel this sitting on it as you are a little more canted forward.

I enjoyed the ride there and back on my 899, and can't say I'm enthused to change now having seen it in the flesh. It is am amazing bike, but think it's time for me to try something else.

    RBW.
