Wanted a change of end can on the Hyper (without the Akra price tag) The bike had a high level SC project when I took ownership but I wanted the option to carry a pillion and to later fit panniers. I changed to a low exit GPR but after a few weeks I was undecided on it.. Today I went up to see Jeff at Pipeworx to look at a few different options of end can. Pipewerx previously made the end can for my Aprilia RRV 450 which I was more than happy with and it got the dB's down to an acceptable level for track days After trying out a few I settled on a Titanium tri oval with carbon tip. The can sounds phenomenal and I'm well chuffed Jeff is going to make up another link pipe to give me the option of high level mounting I highly recommend Pipewerx
Very nice! Are you still running the standard ECU or have you had it re-mapped? ...now how do I get one of those here...
Standard ecu, runs well They are pretty light so shouldn’t be too expensive to ship. Cans are very well priced
Hi Andy, I’ve been speaking to Pipewerx and they sent me a pic of that pipe. I really think I might go for it. I don’t suppose you have a video of it, I’d love to hear it before I make my final decision. cheers, matt
Got a pair of pipewerx cans to go on the 848 , was looking for akras and termis on ebay but still far too overpriced , picked up the Werx cans for 150 ... result
A few questions from me, Does the can come with dB killer Link pipe Hunger for standard rear sets How much cheers Rich
Yes the pipe comes with dB killer Pretty sure it will come with a link pipe, I utilized one I previously had but check with Jeff. Don’t know about hanger for standard rearsets as I’ve never had them on. Due to how light the can is I didn’t need a hanger. I rode my bike there and the guys made up the pipe there and then.
Jeff would be my first choice if I needed another exhaust making, proper nice bloke, helpful and knows his stuff. Done 3 jobs for me now, custom, aftermarket and a repair. I reckon he could sort your Monster.
It’s loud/nice without the baffle in. It’s not fitted at the moment so I can’t sound test it. I’ll see if I can find it in the garage and measure length
