So what have you done today..?

  1. I wish. It's been one of those weeks. Car died, spent 4 days fighting with UPS to get a small package redirected and 2 days searching for a new shower.
If it's dry Sunday the Panti-girdle is getting a good run out:upyeah:

  6. First thing I went into town to get my iPhone battery checked out because, to me at least, it’s shit and loses charge very quickly if you do anything on it. However it’s apparently in good condition and 92% “fit for purpose”, and they don’t advise changing them unless they are less than 80%, otherwise a new battery wouldn’t make a jot of difference. So that saved me £50............I may look to upgrade in a year or so.

At midday my bride and I decided to go to our favourite restaurant for an impromptu lunch.........and they didn’t disappoint as per usual :)

We then went to do a bit of Xmas shopping in Leeds before going to pick up our 2 (Leeds based) grandchildren from school. We then took our 7yo granddaughter to Castleford for her dance rehearsal for a show she’s in on Saturday (and to which we are going...........£20 a fecking ticket!!). #1 son is picking her up at 10pm.............which, to my mind, is ridiculous for a group of 5 to 10yo.

Now we’re back home and watching “World on Fire” which is a great drama, and shows graphically the horror of the start of WW2 in Poland. The current crop of politicians would learn a lot from this.

  7. Difficult start to the day, the bog beckoned at 4am and I spent the next 3 hours emptying the contents of my stomach and bowel :( At some point during the retching, I managed to pull a muscle in my back so had to organise a visit to the chiropractor. Topped off the day with a phone call from MR, they found out why the one-way bearing in the sprag failed ....... fekking starter motor is foobarred. Looking forward to a better day tomorrow :) Andy

  9. I’ve recorded War of the Worlds and His Dark Materials :)

  10. Vienna Blood is supposed to be a bit like Sherlock Holmes.
    We`ll see.

  14. In between messing around on here.....

Did some work admin and emails.

Did some thinking about the structure of my side-hustle online legal services business which I am relaunching soon.

Got pissed off with something or other (I think it was not being able to find my wallet), slung my iPhone at the sofa and managed to break the "home" button in the process, thus locking myself out.

Took the 911 to be MOT'd (passed with a couple of advisories).

While that was being done I took the phone to one of those little phone repair shops and the guy showed me a workaround but wouldn't take any money for it (random act of kindness no.1), so I bought a load of charging packs off him to use in the heated vest I wear under my Rukka in this sort of weather .

Left the car to be valeted and went for a cuppa in a cafe while I watched the Trump impeachment hearings.

Went back to the valeting place and the guy gave me £12 worth of coins he had found in various nooks and crannies (random act of kindness no.2), so I insisted he kept them as a reward for his honesty

Took a couple more pics for the eBay ad.

Updated the eBay ad, which was much more annoying and time consuming than it should have been as for some reason (possibly related to being slung at the sofa?) my iPhone now saves pics as .heic rather than .jpg and eBay's computer said "no".

Drafted an Advice and a document for a client.

Still can't find my wallet though..... :pensive:

Edit: rejigged text to clarify that the acts of kindness were by others towards me, not me to them.

  15. Reading of my fathers will today. Funny how my siblings made that appointment ok. Split 3 ways so no shock there...
Think I’m gonna split it between the dogs trust and my other favourite charity which is lap dancers, oh and coke and booze

  19. Nope they never offered a bean. But that’s them all over and when they spent it all they will be finding something else to blame for why their lives are sooooo bad. Twats. I nearly laid my brother out lol
