  1. Yep, which is why I gave it a 'hmmm ' for it's history. Mind you I could ship it here, import it, get it registered on a correct year plate, then ship it back again and get it registered in the UK on it's correct year plate off the back of it's registration here, if I were so inclined, but I'm not sure it's worth it.

I suspect the vendor has a reserve/value in mind that will exceed what anyone is prepared to pay for it. The vendor perhaps won't see the Q plate as an issue (interpreted from the fact he's focusing on Alf from Worthing saying what a great bike it is) whereas any prospective purchaser with a view to reselling in the future will see the Q plate as an issue. All IMO.

  2. How do people own cat B bikes? I thought you couldn't unless an authorized breaker.

  3. Salvaged parts can be used on other road going vehicles and/or I don't believe there's anything to stop it being repaired and used as a track bike.

  4. don't think that's right, they are supposed to be broken. However, my question was how do people get them as I can't see the insurance company letting you buy it off them.

It's the 2nd I've seen for sale this week.

  5. The frame is meant to be crushed/made unusable. Normally they grind the frame no. If found at a track, with frame no doctored, cops will take it. Race bikes the same.

  6. Unless it’s changed, only a registered breaker can have them
