We took the VW Caddy this year with 2 of us was about £560. Not got a price for a LWB Transporter but I cant see much change out of £650! Might do the NW200 is about £450 for the ferry
I think your find now we are at breaking point with our public services accommodating illegal immigrants, but people no longer care about these important matters in life that affects us all down the line one way or the other.........................but great news on the telly.
There is NOTHING that compares to the TT, the speeds Hicky, Micky D etc. are doing has to be seen to be believed. I still remember the first time I watched from Bray Hill(92 I think) and I was speechless. Hicky has been incredible since he first came to the Island and has raised the bar yet again. I remember John Mc doing the first 130 and thinking surely they can’t go any faster!! This is why we agree to be fleeced every year and also why every biker should try and go at least once. Sadly the expense now puts a lot of people off as well as trying to get a ferry/accommodation. The organisers are not worried as there are plenty of people who will take our place when we are priced out of the experience.
£260 odd each for the four of us with bikes, luckily we have free accommodation actually on the circuit in a house which is a Marshall post. Makes the trip easier to handle.
I Think the organisers will be in for a shock in a few years time as i see lots of people going without bikes as a one off or as part of a stag do just to knock it off the bucket list . Plus if they put any more speed limits up for TT week lots of bikers will say sod it.
I agree, as of this year I think there were speed limits all round the course apart from the Mountain. Ruined my favourite Quarry Bends section!! The Laxey coast road was also completely speed limited. Nigh on everyone I spoke to weren’t impressed. When I started going in the early 90’s it was like Mad Max on the Prom, good days.
