Very sad to hear this , although he had been very ill for some time . He and Barry Humphries introduced the whole world to that wonderful Australian flavour of satirical comedy ..... so dry , so funny , and so uniquely twisted .
One of those rarities, a very public polymath. His regular show that included satirising popular culture across cultures (eg. those cruel but hilarous Japanese "game shows") was ahead of it's time. Grateful for his work.
