Spent most of the day reducing the DucatDoodlePug to a frame, engine and pile of body parts. All to remove the front and rear suspension units . Not the cleverest of designs.
^^^^^^^^ Typical French - a friend once had a Renault 5 - to change the starter motor the whole engine had to be removed
Yesterday it was off to the Marvellous Mr Petty at Ray Petty Meccanica/Death Machines of London to change the tyres on my S4 special to something more sensible* as I had a couple of little moments last week. It turns out that riding a hand built motorcycle with no traction control or ABS on Supercorsas in November isn’t the greatest idea ever. Who knew? Then @Pete1950 also turned up and 3 men who probably should know better channeled our inner 8 year olds by getting Ray’s young Padawan, George, to make the bike shoot flames for us while I recorded it. Unfortunately I can’t seem to upload the video The bike looked like it had been off-roading when I got home * Michelin Pilot Road 5, which are absolutely awesome and confidence inspiring in the wet. Thanks @bradders and possibly a couple of others for the recommendation a couple of months back
Badly hungover so went for a spin on the hypermotard Cold but fun and slippy!! Bike looks like I’ve been through a muddy field now though
The paint on the springs is flaking off after 20 years so I thought I’ll whip ‘em out and see if I can refurb them. However, with replacement ones starting at £15 each I think you’re right, I’ll junk them and get new ones (plus a couple of Öhlins stickers off eBay)
I very rarely give out Nuke's Harry but I'm afraid that comment deserves one. For your punishment I'm now going to subject you to another picture of the DucatDoodlePug
She’s an absolute beauty, I’ll bet your the envy of every teenager and mobility scooter owner in the village!
