Some facts. https://www.kingsfund.org.uk/sites/default/files/2018-04/Rising-cost-of-medicines.pdf When we leave the EU prices are likely to be re negotiated. Up. Obviously, because we have less buying power as one small nation than as part of the EU
Forgive me but am I right in saying that currently, we do not buy American drugs as europe plc but buy them for ourselves as nhs and have done for a very long time. So why mention when we leave the eu you expect prices to go up when we leave the eu, when we already buy them independently ? What next? when we leave the eu father christmas wil no longer visit the U.K.?
As part of the EU we have increased buying power and protection. Also, why not try reading the well researched and referenced document that was linked. You might learn some thing that is not just opinion. Page 23 of doc also sheds some light.
https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-b...ding-plans-lack-credibility-ifs-idUKKBN1Y2104 Surprise, both parties talking rubbish about finances..
Nice fluff and very corbynesque, my question was very clear, the nhs buys our own meds, they are not bought as eu plc, yes or no? We decide what we buy and at what cost, europe does not negotiate our meds purchases. Can you show me in your document where it says the eu buys and negotiates the U.K.'s meds ?
yip, but if you enjoy reading the same links over and over again since 2013, just go back over all the threads on the subject. and funnily enough, non started by a scot or indi supporter. it seems some want to talk indi, but in an echo chamber.
Noobs, you continue to be selective. nice twisting and turning. At no point was it said that the EU negotiate for us. You made that up. BUT why not just read the document and learn something? You would then learn that there are real connections between some drugs pricing and what the NHS does pay.
You've even convinced yourself you never said it, fantastiche Look, "the world will fall apart unless we stay in the eu" has been shown not to be the case and that ^^ shows how silly you've become. The traditional labour fall back of we own the nhs so we are allowed to make false claims hoping no one notices has expired, it is a dead parrott. Labour have used the "nhs at at risk from the Americans" almost on every recent election If you are going to say our nhs buying power and protection will be less when we leave the eu when in fact the eu has absolutely nothing to do with our nhs buying power or protection and hasn't had, then you are just making shit up, you can't even show it in the link YOU supplied. Must try harder 2/10
its a trade deal. some of this for some of that. westminster accepted a pish CFP (aledgedly) deal to protect the finanace sector.
The cfp will be interesting. It will be interesting in the forthcoming "future relationship" to see how much of the U.K. waters will be under the control of the U.K. It would also be interesting to know how much the snp thinks is theirs too and how much of that they will give away to the eu, should they become independent. All these things will be revealed I'm sure, at negotiation time.
oh dear, your talking indi again, you know what happens when you talk indi. people will get the huff. its not the SNP's. it not even the people of the UK or its Gov, its mostly the property of five familys that sell their quota too?.....
Again, putting words in peoples mouth they did not say. but again, there are connections with the EU to some of the drugs prices. As you either A. Cant read B. Cant be bothered to look at page 23 as directed C. Just like to argue black, is white (probable...) Have a look. Btw no mention of EU trading for us or any of the twaddle you tried to twist things to. But a clear connection to some of the prices we have access to, because of EU membership.
I read that and the document key pieces you offered. I'm also aware of parrallell imports going into bonded eu warehouses and turning out to be fakes None of these however decides how we always have and how we will, buy the 10% of pharma we buy directly from the U.S. which is what Labour is referring too. Neither will it see how we buy Pharma from the eu change because that will be part of our "future agreement", I don't feel the U.S. or the eu will be in our negotiations whilst discussing the parties trade deals I understand your need for a labour divert though having seen that super poll overnight that see's labour lose the election, tories gain a substantive majority in the house and Labour losing its leader and most of it's front bench as the official opposition. What next? The americans are controlling Scotland by charging them more for sugar that used to be in irn bru?
