So what have you done today..?

  1. Peanut butter in the traps lured my mouse guests to their doom :skull:

  2. Had to drive to Whaley Bridge which is a lovely place then on to Loughborough which isn’t. The drive back up the M1 was horrible with numerous little bumps and traffic problems. Absolutely no pleasure in driving these days.

  3. I once was called to a property of mine where a tenant had been terrorised by a mouse for some time.
Traps had failed, bait had failed, but on this occasion the tenant thought he’d cornered it in the kitchen.
    So he called me.
On my arrival he was quite giddy with excitement and explained it was trapped in the kitchen.
I went in and gently closed the door behind me, all was quiet, not a mouse stirred!
Then all of a sudden I saw it darting across the floor, as quick as a cat I landed an upturned bin over it, trapping the it,
    but now what?
At this point you have to realise I was sick to the back teeth of this little fucker, he’d eluded us far too long, making both mine and the tenants life a misery
so quick as a flash I reached in grabbed it and crushed it with my hands, just as the door opened by my curious tenant!
    An unusual awkward silence followed,
    Problem solved I thought!

Since then I’ve employed the professional services of a local pest control company.

  4. I guess being of an age we are all quite experienced ratters/mousers by now - first indication I usually get for a loft catch is swarms of bluebottles downstairs, well if it's not too cold. Swarms is a rat, a dozen might be a mouse.

  5. A little freaked - went to do an errand two hours ago but flat car battery, partly because of the -2. Opened bonnet/applied charger. Went to check in the dark around 6.30 and water bottle lid popped open.. Either early dementia or a prowler with a sense of humour.

  6. a bit of both Chris ?

  7. I’m sorry Terry that photo is so underwhelming, after all the build up I was expecting an @Exige type of Alpine/ chalet shed/ garage.
But I’m sure you’ll find plenty of use for it.

    Ps I’ve drank the champagne!
    :)

  8. Both traps in the shed were reset and will be checked again today :D
I kept the 1/2 eaten Snickers bar for that very reason:D
The traps I bought actually come pre-baited with what looks like peanut butter. They can be used again and again as the mouse has to lift a flap with its snout to get to the bait; lifting the flap trips the catch and it guillotines itself before it can eat the bait :punch::D

  9. It’s a shed. I have a real and proper garage for important stuff :)

  10. I bet you cut off the nibbled bit and ate the rest, didn’t ya!
    ;)

  11. Lovely! My daughters friends would literally cry over this thread, my sons would laugh. Tell me again how there’s no difference between the sexes?

  12. When I told of my experience to a group of friends I was called a wanker by a female vegetarian!
I use the term ‘friends’ very loosely here.

  14. She doesn’t like meat, not even kebabs,
    I know, the shock!

  15. I did think of that but unfortunately the smell of mouse piss in the wrapper was a little off-putting:astonished:.

Mind you there 6 others untouched, it was a multipack:), which are now in a secure metal biscuit tin :D

  16. Never put me off ya girl!

  17. LOL. Same here. SWMBO gets REALLY upset when any animal is ‘injured’ in a film or TV programme, even though it’s not real. She’d go mad if she found out there were death inducing mouse traps in the shed :worried:. Thus, in the house we have a humane pest control device. It emits ultrasound which neither humans nor dogs can hear but rodents & insects can and don’t like and it also induced a magnetic resonance throughout the electric cabling in the house which rodents can detect & don’t like and thus scares them away:upyeah:. Me, I prefer the visual aspect of successful pest control:D.

I know, the picture’s on its side again and I definitely took this one with the phone the right way up; bloody iOS13:mad:

  19. My dog catches big fucking rats and brings them to me indoors :mask:
A few times if I’m going in to the town I will take the bodies with me and throw them in the garden of my wife’s ex husband who is a cock
