Lovely collection there , I have a frantic caballero for my 70's moped fix nowadays , my last raliegh chopper was a lovely unrestored red m2 like yours in your garage , just loved the original patina. My first one was an orange mk1 chopper for my 10th birthday, secondhand. Bike was probably a couple of years old at the time , wish I still had it ! Puddy
I would love to have been around in that period with those dresses & boots as a eighteen year old......if you were what lucky chaps. .....and good luck with that little sweet project.
My my saved up for 2 years in the Christmas club at the local bike shop “Fenwick's they sold Air guns too And bought me a Mk1 Horizon blue 1 when I was 9 years old I fell off it so many times
Mine was second hand. 22 quid but that was a fortune then! I saved up for the genuine mudguard extenders (RP - Raleigh Performance?) with mudflaps as I always got soaked by the stupid short, but oh so cool, mudguards!
Yep. I used to do that as well. It took me until at least my mid 30s to make the connection between “taking my stuff apart to see how it works” and “my stuff not working anymore”.
Yeah i can see you waving from the captain's bridge.........spent four odd days there many years ago which was nice, also watch a round of the world rally championship up the road with the late Colin Mcrae/Richard Burns.
