You clearly believe that being within the world of business and economics is the way it is with the whole of the UK Damo. It's not like that and we will see on the 12th just how wrong hopefully you are.
That's not what he's saying at all but there has to be a sensible balance with figures that stack up!
Yeah, Damo! You numpty. Don't you realise that food, shelter, clothing, medicine ... before businesses started interfering, it all literally *fell from the sky*. All we had to do as a species is stoop and pick it up! And then the businessmen came along and ruined it all ...
Whilst I fully respect your right to choose and support any political party, and even value your opinions on topics you're far more experienced with, I'm afraid to say the blinkered view on both economics and business you and many more staunch Corbyn supporters have isn't just wrong, it's dangerously naive. I'm genuinely not trying to be condescending, but 'believing' that all businesses will continue to invest, continue to create jobs, take increased costs on the chin and do something as simple as keep product pricing the same isn't enough, 'believing' in such blind faith is for the religious, and look where that gets them. Labour have some good policies, and I genuinely do believe that some areas of society could do with more help, but there's got to be a middle ground for sensible thinking and established well thought out, realistic and economically viable solutions, and I'm afraid the current Labour party are so far wide of that mark it's unbelievable. I want to think they're naive, maybe even so incredibly inept that they've genuinely all sat in a room and nobody has dissected the proposals far enough before putting their hand up and saying 'hang on, this might not work' But my gut feeling is that'd be wrong. I'm sorry, but they really are a bunch of crack pots, and they sure as shit aren't intelligent enough to run a country......unless it's into the ground.
This could result in a long drawn out Tit fer Tat exchange, but i will not get into that let the candidates do that on the door step, needless to say during these exchanges i am always amused by the either condescending or naive (your words too) exchanges that gets presented here. Apart from the odd or two will come out say it as it is .
Tip- don’t book yer holibobs in Venezuela. seriously, I met a Venezuelan a couple of months back on a rig off Nigeria. He’d managed to get to Texas before the chaos ensued but his family weren’t so lucky. He was worried sick about his mum. No power or running water. I suggested winging her a small genset (like we use at Cadwell for our warmers) but he explained it would be immediately confiscated by either looters or government officials... I could ramble on and on.... suffice to say, it’s utterly horrible out there. Total no go. For anybody. He told me I’d be lynched for the clothes I was standing in
I agree, but you can’t say socialism doesn’t work, when Scandinavian countries do so well and Germany’s social structure is to the left of ours
A sad situation there, but i wouldn't be swanning around on a rig if any of my family were in peril, hook or by crook i'd be back there trying to do something about it.
i don't think it would make any difference what labour propose. the closer the gap in the polls, the more exaggerated the scandles and internal problems of the labour party will become in the press. all the while mostly ignoring whats going on in the Gov and their party. the influence of the scots via the SNP in a hung parliament will continue to be sold as a bad thing using the worst kind of rhetoric furthering more devision. today its our turn to be anti simitic. except it folks, yer press is mostly of the rightwing gutter type. the BBC as are all the TV channels you are forced to pay for, are no less biased than the online sites they accuse of pushing fake news. there is no why you are as informed of the opposition partys as you like to think you are.
