Sorry if I’m moaning. This is like the pub to me. I’m on meds, mostly OK, just have these episodes every 10 days or so where it raises and wont come down. Often middle of the night. Got a meds appt Monday, so going to ask about any others. NHS so far, and tbh its beyond slow. I’m conspicuous I need to work, 20 Dec I’m out of contract so need to get to all fixed Jan before getting next role, if I dont go permi and am offered the role of course. I’ll stop posting about it: dont want to become a ‘look at me’ plonker
I have never met you and probably never will, but I kind of know you from what you put up on here. I do not think you are a "moaner" just an "honest joe" with a problem, a stressful life situation (no long term secure employment and a need to earn money) and a body that could be better equipped to deal with stress. Nobody has on their gravestone " Wish I spent more time at the office/work" Too many men die prematurely because they think it is OK / macho to carry on regardless (it is the way we were brought up). Take time to make sure you look after No 1. Work and the need for money have no value if you are not there to collect the cheque.
Paul @bradders - you’re not a moaner. Sometimes we get dealt a shit hand health wise. You need to get yourself sorted. And we’ll all be happier when you are.
Jeepers! I came in here to post my "what i did today" stuff but feellike an intruder now... Sorry you're feeling rotten Bradders, maybe a pic of the engine from the MonsterBurger on an engine stand will cheers you up a little? It's all I got!
Can’t wait to get my garage done. Going to be a place I can finally have all my stuff together and really get organised Car, bikes, gym stuff (or indoor driving range and don’t need much space), work benches.
Postman has just been and delivered my Christmas present to me from me a new pair of carburetors for the Triton. Steve
Been to work and had the usual kind of meetings. End of year slow down has already kicked in for most!
Have you got or considered a balance pipe between your inlet manifolds ? I converted my 61 pre unit Bonny when i fitted concentrics made a difference, eliminated the need to keep fiddling with the carbs.
Hang on - shouldn't your gamekeeper be looking after that pheasant?!? . . . . . Ah, no, that's someone else...
Maybe I'll start a Triton thread - you've just made me all nostalgic about my '61 slickshift (pre-unit obviously) gearbox and Bonnie engine from my own Slimline one. I have photos I reckon somewhere.....
