£500 non refunadable deposit then a further £1500 closer to the date. Reworded for @JoePeps I'd love to go and most probably make a deposit in my leathers first shot at the corkscrew.
If it's £2k each then a no go for me. Can't quite understand the wording though on the price, but I am tired!
They took mine last year, so be warned: even if you give them 6m notice and you can’t go on medical grounds and they can resell, fuck you very much is the answer you’ll get. No refunds.
2k plus your there and back etc. I budgeted 6k for the Aussie gig. You can’t go that far for just a td imho so need to build a holiday around it. Expect 6wks either side for bike transportation I reckon
Wasn't too fussed about this much like the Sepang and Philip Island events and then I started to look at it closer. This looks epic, you could have a rid good time on track and then make nice holiday out of it as well. The NL blurb states 4-5 weeks transport either side of the event, so probably looking at 12 weeks without your bike, which isn't an issue for me. I'm off at the time of the event as well... All I need to do now is ship the kids off somewhere and me an the Mrs can have a great time
where is the info for this available? anyone got a link? tried the google but i must be doing something wrong...
You're without your bike for sometime, however it's over the winter. I believe international playboy @Monners did the PI trip.
West coast. How long??? Through Panama Canal I guess. Mind you, it’s bugger all compared to Philip Island I suppose...
4-5 weeks each way they're saying. Doesn't make much difference to me as I can use another bike while it's away.
Not sure I like the idea of having my bike on the high seas, with its suspension all compressed, for weeks on end. Or am I getting the picture wrong?? I’d never put a torque wrench away without unloading the spring...
Just don't load the suspension up when you tie it down. Should still be plenty movement in the suspension to absorb any movement even after tying it down
Thing for me is I can get more tracktime for that money in Europe so it's a no brainer. Portimao for 4 days cost me £1500 all in. Plus I'm not bothered about a holiday out there, been there the last 2 years! I only have 1 bike so it's too long without it missing the end of the season over here. Shame but I'll see what's offered in 2021.
