Renewal time

  1. Multi bike policy covering my 1098s and my ZX7R. 36, Nth London, 5 years no claims. Both locked in garage overnight, both fully comp. Carol Nash (my current insurer) quoted me £1200+ with recovery, legal, blah blah. Bit of phoning around MCE £893, but beaten by Ducati Insurance coming in at £872. Not bad for Nth London IMO
Now if I was in the South West (where I want to be) it would be a third of that :mad:

  2. Makes me glad I live in the wilds of Norfolk! Just had my renewal quote for the ST3 of £99! 5 years NCB and I only have the 1 bike, oh and I'm 51.

  3.

  4. 850 for Monster and 996, both garaged, 31. 2y NCB with one claim last year. Wembley area.

  5. 1098s, 5 years NCB, garaged in Cheshire... £249

  6. It'll be interesting to see what I get quoted this year after being bummed for moving from the R1 to the 848 EC SE.

  7. There's no need to brag dude

  8. North London really sucks for insurance doesn't it

  9. Corrected

  10. Actually my insurance went up by 500gbp for moving from Beckenham to here.

  11. I declared the aftermarket Akrapovic slip-on and the added carbon at renewel and strangely Aviva would cover the extras if claimed whereas Ducati Insurance would not. Still couldn't beat my comapnion's renewel on her Diavel which was £135 . Andy

  12. £160 Fully comp 999s 3 years NCB. This is one bit of the North/South divide you can keep

  13. Early 999s are now covered by classic bike insurance which also helps cut the price

  14. What are the drawbacks of classic insurance? There has to be something.

  15. You don't get "new for old"

  16. £152 for my Monster S2R, all mods declared, fully comp. I'm 50 living in rural Wiltshire. Full protected no claims. I renewed it yesterday and stuck my 900ss on for the first time and there was no additional cost for an entire year of cover. Bargain, with ebikeinsurance.

  17. Dont know really, probably limited milage

    Thats pretty good :upyeah:

  18. The reason my SS didn't cost anything is that ebikeinsurance are doing a deal at the moment where if you take out a standard policy then you get a free cover on a classic for one year. My 91 SS is classed as a classic. However, I just stuck it on at the same time as my Monster and there was no mention of limited mileage.

  19. I pay around a third of that for 2 bikes - one of the (few) advantages of being an old git. However I'd gladly pay 3 times the price to be 25 years younger... :frown:

  20. £209 fully comp, two bikes, garaged, full no claims . South west resident!,!

    :upyeah:
