  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

  9. Or that could be looked at, how long have the British people been rejeting the type of socialism that Corbyn is currently offering? and what could be the reason behind that?

  10. Yes, but are Tory policies working, are services better now etc etc.

  11. Or are we saying that there have been 30 years of none socialist policies, thus people are saying anything thats not far left socialism is Tory when its probably not that black & white?

This whole blind party focus, Blue or Red, Labour or Tory is incredibly narrow minded in my view. Its old hat and out of date.

I understand why its like that because of our system not allowing new parties to come through, but instead it means the Red & Blue parties occasionally alter considerably either via new leaders or powerful backers/membership changes, whilst still masquerading as the parties they once were, when in fact they're nothing like what came before them.

'New' Labour as an example was something they used as a rebranding exercise because it suited the narrative to distance form previous Labour, so are the current Labour the 'Old' Labour? or are they something completely different being so far left, are they then the "New New' Labour?

The Tories haven't ever rebranded though have they? Perhaps thats at their detriment? I might be wrong but i can't remember them doing so, and if they did they didn't do a good job of it.

I just wish there was someone more centrist, theres no reason you can't have business friendly policies as that creates jobs and thus wealth, but equally you couple that with some good and well costed sustainable social polices and a nice balance of both is more than achievable.

  12. 'Cause we get the politicians we deserve...

Is there any other government system, worldwide.... that we should adopt?
    Success stories and links please....
@finm please don't post anything about Scotland to answer this.... it's not relevant to the question I asked.

  13. You will be wanting the Utopia Party then ?

  14. It's difficult to be totally truthful on either side.

there is no doubt we expect more for our tax dollar than ever before whilst at the same time expecting the lowest wages to pay not a single bean in tax, keep taxes low for the rest of us, keep vat low, keep business rates low etc etc.

That said, as a kid the first tv in the house was from a rental company with a coin meter on the side, my grandkids both have flat screen tv's in the own rooms whilst dad has a 55 inch downstairs, brand new car on the drive, holiday abroad, both parents have top of the range mobiles, even if you try to say the technology didn't exist, nor did the money back then.

so wealth seems relative, possibly we are even better off than we were as kids we have more goodies than when we were kids but for some reason why are not feeling that step forward. Is that because there is no step forward or as people get more, they want more?

  15. Utopia isn't useful, its too personal as to what each individuals Utopia would be.

Im just saying that this current crop seem to be at extremes, and there are people that would quite like a sensible middle ground.
