No race exhaust system as quoted, looks like a standard asymmetric system with a can. Nasty rearsets. Correct tank though.
I was wondering when that would come up, I’m pretty sure it’s a repo that sold at auction a couple of weeks ago. I don’t know what the seller paid for it but I’ll bet there’s a decent chunk of profit in there!
Not sure this has been posted already but - gotta be one of the most beautiful Ducati race bikes, despite the price. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-8...978580?hash=item2adbd7c994:g:ju4AAOSwTYZd712K
Very nice SQJPFYCF65HDUCATI 996s CDDLCA9Q1989/G Ducati 851 Monoposto - ONLY 6700 MILES, STUNNING COLLECTORS BIKE!!

^ puts our obsessions in perspective. Wonder what he paid for it new? Can’t be arsed pricing it up but let’s say £50k and he sold it to the dealer for £40k (keep the maths simple, see). That’s £20 a MILE. Ouch.
I've always said "Anybody" can buy a Ducati as cost is not a problem with most modern financial houses inplay these days, but it's the running costs that are the killer for the fools.
Depreciation is the real killer every time. My maths above are only on the depreciation, ignore running costs / insurance etc. Even with a PCP, if you chop the bike in early you face a big early termination fee. Someone has to pay for the depreciation - guess who? Which is why we like our classics and rarities, innit.
Not me. as i'll never buy another new motorbike in my life.............purchased eight new ones in my time but not Ducati's.
