Yes a good point. Are the Minister of Health & Director of the hospital, both with huge amounts to lose by being discredited and exposed in the press likely to be liars incriminating themselves/ apologising for no reason? Answers on a post card please...
On the yorkshire evening post she says the child was in the assessment room on a bed, once assessed and was safe was left to rest. However as it was the paediatric version of a&e another child came in needing the assessment room so the lady and her boy was moved to a consultation room and that is why it didn't have a bed, it had chairs but the child could not settle on the chairs so his mum laid him on the floor. I would agree with you on this bit decided to publish it to get better conditions for her child. Any parent would do the same. Most towns have a town specific facebook group, I wouldn't be to surprised if she shared it just locally in a rage fit of tired/worried for her poorly kid in a kids a&e that admitted that was the heaviest use of the department in ages. Our own town has quite a lot of novo virus at the moment and the grandkids schools have said if any kids are poorly, don't bring them in. I suspect some local hack on the yep saw it on the facebook group and saw an opportunity of a 2+2 =5 everyday story and boom off it went. That might explain why she has complained to the newspapers own ombudsman Doesn't have to come from the party machine, more likely some idiot who just dislikes Labour
Never... all my expenses are approved by the board and my accountant (audited by the tax office, twice recently). I've never been a parasite on society and then tried to preach to the rest of my colleagues/family and children.... next bit of diatribe?
If he was then we wouldn't be in this situation and I would revert to not voting at all. If he (JC) changed is mind tomorrow then still for BoJo as he is more fun... the Labour Manifesto and Pledges are considerably less doable and likely to cripple the country more than a stagnated Brexit would.
But what if a Labour government borrowed as much money as the Conservatives have over the past 10 years? Surely there’d be enough in the pot to carry out their manifesto and pledges?
there's the diatribe word again. well done. avoided and approved. ? excellent never been a parasite? hmm. never preached? teehee. angry guy? defo. chill big boy. yer health's no the best already.
Besides given these numbers of deaths, any mother would be frantic "Doctors’ report finds 5,449 deaths since 2016 followed delayed admission to A&E" https://www.theguardian.com/society...ients-die-waiting-for-beds-in-hospitals-study Many here are parents, many are also not that young. What would you have done in that situation, stuck on the floor knowing about all these cases.
Looks like tomorrow will bring more spanners in the works https://www.manchestereveningnews.c...er-news/dont-vote-labour-warn-former-17397217
Given all the issues around A&E, I wonder how many people in percentage terms per day /week/month /year attend A&E wrongly when in fact it's not an accident or emergency, thus clogging up the system. Boys laying on the floor aside, surely the 'issues' can't purely be attributed to money and some are in fact people misusing the A&E provision for one reason or another.
The hipocrisy is staggering. If these people feel that way, why didn't they simply stand as independants? Its not as if they didn't have an opportunity to follow their political beliefs. Scuzzers.
It is probably down to a 2 weeks waiting list to see a Doctor though - it's amazing that there is a 2 week waiting list constantly - for at least 2 years now. If they just caught up by 2 weeks then the waiting time could be a day or two
I expect there is plenty of misuse, and much that could be done better. But wen you're talking about people losing their lives, the NHS plan has to provide cover in a worst case scenario. Thats what I would expect if my family, friends and strangers were dieing in corridors.
Looks like a lot of people have been taken in by fake news denying the photo of the boy is genuine. https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co...ment-fact-checked-journalism-yep-says-1337649 A story double checked and verified by sky news. TB
I'm not doubting that anyone wouldn't reasonably expect the same thing, but maybe that's part of the problem, people who aren't ill or at least not hospital required ill (common cold, hayfever, that kind of thing) perhaps expect too much? Maybe they're selfishly not bothered about the people in real need, maybe they're just there because nobody has ever told them NO before I mean who's turning people away, who vets arrivals to actually say 'please don't waste the time and access to Drs from people in real need ' It's not about being callus, or not caring, but I'm fairly confident there's waste across the entire nhs and ploughing more money cannot be the solution when other misuse factors could and should have been addressed.
Voting for labour, or any political party won't stop deaths in the nhs. With no independent confirmation I'd be surprised if those figures are as related as claimed. most of us have been through a&e at some point and they rarely discharge you from a&e to ward unless they feel the worst is over. That's not to say deaths do not happen, they clearly do and in 2016 the nhs were seeing 1 million patients every 36 hours*, the law of averages says it will happen https://www.nhsconfed.org/resources/key-statistics-on-the-nhs slightly off course, I watch 24 hours in A&E often and the amount of people misusing A&E is disappointing. Our system would run better if we treated it better.
Saving lives comes first, once the system can do a better job, then instigate the revisons and cuts if applicable. I do agree with some misuse but have you ever been unfortunate to be at a hospital emergency ward in full flight or at night? There's not too many people hanging about who aren't seriously there for the right reasons.
