No prejudice at all fin. You know we mentioned this only the other week. The snp are the scottish ukip, they respect only the votes in their favour. As to trust the snp for devolved but not nationally independent government, how else would you view being preferred on national issues but even on the snp peak year of 2014, the Scottish people have never fully trusted their government poll after poll after poll on the matter of independence? That's not prejudice, that's results, stone cold hard results from the Scottish people. Try and dress it up as prejudice if it makes you feel better but that argument would ignore all the polls and elections on the matter, are by those living in Scotland and no other. The snp's argument is poor, not supported by the majority of Scots and once they stop blaming everyone else, they might have some honesty about their position
hmm, bit angry there brov, chill. but before we get on to that. let me give you rule no1. never undermine your argument by insulting your core support.
So Now we have a thread for all the SNP and Scottish independence stuff and this one for the United Kingdom leaving the EU... I shall visit them both and post in the appropriate forum depending on the Subject being discussed.
no, we didn't discus that the other week, you probably dropped it in somewhere right enough. not trusting Scottish politicians?. that doesn't make any sense. we have been sending Scottish politicians to run the country from the front bench since universal suffrage. I guess the more they failed the country, the less impressed they have been with, first the liberals, conservatives and then labour. poll after poll after poll? which ones are they? it cant be the one that matters because there have been numerus over the last 12 years. mostly in a PR stylie. and guess what... . you never said, is it true the torys had to out kipper the kippers to win this GE?
I would say all that is true apart from the last part where I don’t believe the “English bastard” bit of the bit about Scots not trusting their politicians. May have been true 30 years ago but not today most of my English friends have their own businesses many times people have told me I should have my own business but I am just not brave enough to do it my friends in Scotland are no less intelligent and most of them work in public sector or quasi public sector organisations like hospitals, universities etc there is truth behind our ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The opposite characteristic is one of the things I admire about English folk.
FFS... @El Toro you may as well combine both the INDE threads as the "4%" are insisting that they are important enough to spout off in both threads about the same old BS. There is little point in having two threads with nearly the exact same "content" .... IMHO.
I think speakers corner should be just one thread. titled "speakers corner." as some of you have multi personalities im sure you can manage to hold multiple conversations in the one room too. it would also save on the many negative thread names appearing across yer forum as a wee bonus
The election has been won, job done. We will leave on the terms infront of us, or a clean break by next december, job done and scottis indi, nic has been reminded she doesn't speak for the majority of scots on the matter. All seems to be wrapped up and jobs a good un
British Indy: What Happens Now? According to the Sunday Times this: Up to a third of the cabinet face the sack in a February reshuffle after Brexit so that fresh faces can be brought in to create a “transformative” government focused on the needs of working-class voters who propelled him to a landslide victory last week. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/...volution-pm-to-wield-axe-on-cabinet-0cpdldlk6 Its just possible some who voted Tory expecting business as usual will be disappointed.
