Just popped back into this thread to immerse myself in the depth of the conversation... Looks like I'm not going to get my ankles wet
Of course. There is no hard border on the island of Ireland. The SNP won less seats than in the 2015 election and I won a bet on my prediction of this issue. A deal will be struck with the EU, however a no deal is desireable. So you got 0/3. Happy to help.
my prediction was the Irish border wasn’t solvable and predicted it needed to be in the Irish Sea. I predicted the SNP comprehensively defeat all other parties. They did. They took 7 seats from the Tories, decapitated the Lib Dem’s and reduced labour to 1. since winning the GE, the Tories have signalled am unachievable deadline for Brexit and divergence from the EU in terms of employees rights. so 3/3 for me. might I suggest a friendly wager? BJ gets a free trade deal done in 12 months = you win. UK leaves under WTO in 12 months = I win. anything else is a draw. I win - you travel to London and buy me a beer. you win - I travel to the north east and buy you a beer. I expect we will find we have much more in common than Speakers Corner would suggest
I don’t like the Boris bus much. No leg room. but at least it doesn’t burst into flames like the Ken bus did.
There is no border in the Irish sea. There may be some paperwork when the dust settles, but that's it, that's not a border. You said an SNP landslide. A landslide isn't less seats than you won only 4 years previously. What has divergance in terms of employee right got to do with saying we'd have a no deal Brexit? So, as I said. It's 0/3 to you. I'm not betting anymore with Scotties. I won one this week but for some reason the T&C's were changed to something only present in the other parties head. You are more than welcome to come and buy me a drink though. I'll take a free drink from anybody* *Except @Exige 's coffee. It's horrible.
i don’t agree with Exy giving you a crap. BJ would have loved the SNP percentage of the vote I think the Ts and Cs are pretty clear. I have a feeling that realistically it would end up a draw.
