Yeah, where are all the promo videos of engines being stress tested and run to within an inch of their lives to prove the reliability, or vids and pictures of bikes coming off production lines. There aren't any promo activities being done outside of the promo that MCN do for them!
I noticed Norton's own twitter feed and Stuart Garners twitter feeds are not public and to see them, you have to apply to follow. Has this always been the case?
it wasn't the case, certainly the Norton ceo feed was public. I do follow it, but having said that I can go a week or two between checking twatter posts...
Given the allegations, I imagine there's some speculation as to whether Garner's fathers name is the same as his own...
A friend of a friend has just taken delivery of a chrome V4. He had ordered a carbon but his messages etc weren't being returned. He made a pest of himself for ages. He got a call from Norton, that due to cancellations, he can have a Chrome if he pays right then. He wanted the assurance that there was a bike built. The bike hadn't been built yet but they insisted that he paid up for the bike. He didnt want to pay. He was told that they would deliver the bike to his property within a short time. On delivery of the bike, he transferred the Carbon amount of money. He then got a message to ask him not to publish the VIN number and to give good feedback about Norton on social media. He called them up to say he wouldn't do that, due to the shit service he has received throughout the process.
In plain English, what you are buying is a new, non-warranted, non-guaranteed motorcycle as an ornament for the shed/garage/office/dining room that may be run once a year on special rallies. If you get the bike.
Doesn’t matter. Likelihood is that it will be trailered to rallies by most. And the days it does work it will be for the 8 miles to the local cafe and back. That’s how these things are used.
