  1. Hi everyone just joined after buying a 1098. Owned a 748 18yrs ago but after 6mnths it went bang lol so after owning jap bikes since then I decided to buy another ducati which unfortunately has now been returned for a refund due to problems . It was a 1 owner 3000mile original bike which took me a while to find but it obviously wasn't the one!
Here's a pic of what I owned for a month lol but if anyone is selling a 1098,1198 or 848 evo corse se let me know as missing it to much

  6. 6 miles after 1st ride out rear brake seized so had to wait 2weeks for it to have new rear disc, pads and rear master cylinder.
Then after a 20 mile ride noticed oil all around rear cylinder and base and rear head was leaking oil so they took it back.

  7. How very strange for such a low mileage machine, but i guess these things happen every now & then.

  8. Welcome along nice bike

  9. that sucks! might not have been too major if the shop was prepared to fix but i guess it would leave you thinking you might have bought a lemon..
can i ask what you paid for the 1098?

  13. seems a good price for such a clean machine. when you say thet took it back it sounds like you got it from a dealer? not worth waiting to get problems sorted?

  17. They took it back and gave refund to be easier. I could of had it back whilst they were doing the repair but also found out it has been dropped on left side by previous owner and had all left side painted so at that point I decided not to carry on
