Can you show me where devolution is being taken away from any lower regional government? Where has the Scotttish government invested in, that now has to be sold off?
Thanks for that very informative character reference. You of course are very wrong as per usual my man, my replies are my property not yours to dictate how i present them, you have a choice.......... shut the fvck up. please.
I could, if I could be arsed. but what you can do for your self, is start at the beginning of all these threads and do the research yourself. there is a mountain of stuff written on the subject from a mountain of sources. but, you can start here. what Gordon says should of been obvious to anyone with even a small understanding of the UK and its governments. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=gXi7-3OH6kk&feature=emb_logo
I will watch both videos later. I tried to research before asking the question, was unable to locate anything. Perhaps I wasn't searching with the right terms.
people like this are changing there mind all the time now. not because of some new oil find. but because of the direction the uk is taking and the attitudes by the UK Gov towards the devolved govs and the people they represent https://twitter.com/mikedailly/status/1208546804834488321
The Canada example will have been chosen for effect to prove a point rather than a relevant point. There are Countries within the eu that have devolved parliaments and so how do those countries manage the step from devolved input, to national government decision making. That maybe a more relevant example should anyone chose to relaunch the brexit (it's won already) debate The devolved governments put their point of view across, they also have mp's into the national decision making body (parliament) and from that, the national government moves forward. It will not please all regions all of the time. As to what other countries do however is a talking point and rarely a relevant point as they are not the U.K.
I think the other devolved govs you are referring to are part of federal states. its not the same thing. a federal state has a veto in areas of its competence. devolved govs in the uk have no veto. we also have EVEL. which ultimately means we can have no representation at cabinet level. don't waist your breath with the position of SoS for here there or where ever. there are to many examples on why you don't want to go there. there is no uk single market. if the uk wants, it just goes ahead. why? because they can. why? because they forgot to put the Sewal convention into law as promised in 2014.
So you agree then you are comparing oranges with lemons but trying to convince people you are actually comparing oranges with oranges?
may I suggest that those who start threads who are not from Scotland don’t want to “talk” about it and more want to Gloat Display dominance ridicule it’s rarely done respectfully
I think that's exactly what you where doing. but on this occasion I also think you genuinely didn't know the difference.
Back on topic so far you are going to be worse off if 1) you are a child refugee 2) you have a job and like the employee rights you have 3) you believed that the U.K. was a family of nations which stayed together voluntarily and would like the chance to exercise your Democrat right to vote 4) you are selling a house because uncertainty had been ramped up again with the unrealistic deadline and the EUs response to that 5) you are a business owner and thought a good Tory win would bring certainty- see above
yip, its no easy to accept you where conned. unless of course you are pro Brexit. where all the pro EU sources are now liars.
I am looking forward to the day when people are told they have to conform to ISO standards and the penny drops that many EU standards are ISO standards. Then what?
