brads, i was thinking exactly the same! and he looks like a nice happy go lucky upbeat guy.. i think he just burried VR... the king is dead , long live the king....
Tyre wear, I'm certain, won't be an issue. Even the soft tyres were coming back from qualifying totally unmarked. What's ominous is that Marquez was still dropping his lap times when he switched to the harder tyres... The lap record will be set in the last laps, and unless Marquez has problems you can't see anyone else but him winning. Racecraft will put Jorge close, but Marquez ain't the sort of bloke to buckle under pressure.
MM is so different to whinger 27!! He has respect for other world champs and is happy to be on a factory bike and never ever whines on about the series and rules like a boeing 747 jet engine on take off! MM is the new spanish kid on the block and it will be a interesting year watching JL and DP except the fact they have a countryman better than them. I await the BIG fall out Also see Cal is running a full factory engine!
what we need now is the other spanish master Espagaro on a factory bike, Well he is beating factory bikes on a very slow CRT!
Cal could really be the spanner in the works if he can keep his start together. A genuine threat; it's great to have a really competitive Brit to cheer on! Absolutely. Stick him on Bautista's bike seeing as Alvaro seems to be frittering away a good opportunity. Goes without saying.
Then come Race Day in warm up using race tyres and full tanks this happens

1 26 Dani PEDROSA Honda 2'04.341

2 35 Cal CRUTCHLOW Yamaha 2'04.358 0.017 / 0.017

3 99 Jorge LORENZO Yamaha 2'04.486 0.145 / 0.128

4 93 Marc MARQUEZ Honda 2'04.604 0.263 / 0.118

5 6 Stefan BRADL Honda 2'04.814 0.473 / 0.210

6 46 Valentino ROSSI Yamaha 2'05.071 0.730 / 0.257

7 4 Andrea DOVIZIOSO Ducati 2'05.191 0.850 / 0.120

8 69 Nicky HAYDEN Ducati 2'05.953 1.612 / 0.762

9 29 Andrea IANNONE Ducati 2'06.074 1.733 / 0.121

10 41 Aleix ESPARGARO ART 2'06.242 1.901 / 0.168

11 19 Alvaro BAUTISTA Honda 2'06.326 1.985 / 0.084

12 11 Ben SPIES Ducati 2'06.487 2.146 / 0.161

13 38 Bradley SMITH Yamaha 2'06.773 2.432 / 0.286

14 68 Yonny HERNANDEZ ART 2'07.228 2.887 / 0.455

15 14 Randy DE PUNIET ART 2'07.252 2.911 / 0.024

But 99% of times in warm up dictate race pace, not 1 lap new tyre no fuel times  3 factory bikes behind 1 CRT
Well, PD is out of business and Rossi can go sell stuff... the way he sat there and then flipped through reminded me of Doohan in his haydays : wait for a couple of laps and then : bang... great maturity, skill and tenacity... MM is something very special in his own right... VR nowhere to be seen. got beaten clean by CC.... the king is dead, long live the king!!
