Growing up in the 60s was wierd - parents too straight/dull (& over the hill at 40!) and me not old enough to be really in it being only 13 in 1970. Made up for it in the 70s tho' despite having to wear flares
Today I will be mostly working. Can't complain though as I have got the weekend off after being on standby all over the festive period and I've copped New Years day as well. Ho hum.

Had a 50 mile blast on the Panigale ! With all the rain we’ve had the roads were quite clean, bit of occasional diesel but otherwise all good. really enjoyed the ride, called in at newlands for a bacon roll, excellent as ever superlight is still in the house, need another bike for the winter ! steve
I should have been at work but there`s an outage today and tomorrow so, as we won`t be making anything, I was offered holidays or come in and be available for any shit they need doing, I chose holidays. My mate has no holidays left so I hope the shit comes thick and fast for him, ha! . It`s a bit of a broken week this week, had four days off, started back 12 hours yesterday, off today and tomorrow, back 12 hours Sunday then two days overtime training on an artic shunter. Don`t ask . (that`s lorry by the way, not cold hell hole ).
Switched electric and Gas suppliers.... see other thread... saved 567 Ducati tokens per year! Split contract as the savings were greater. Not bad for 3 hours work.
