MS Production manufactured Ducati carbon parts. Some carry just Their logo, some carry Ducati performance some both (my swingarm cover). Looks quite worn / thin in places. But nothing to lose having a go.
Take your time and don’t get aggressive rubbing down and you will be fine. It’s a nice bit of kit (or will be) that will add value as its genuine.
It’s so thin you can see through it in places, re lacquering might be the way to go! Do you know of any suppliers. though not at the price of that tank!
Honestly have a go yourself first if you have time. You will be surprised st how well it will come up. My swing arm cover was similar. Very satisfying to do. If you screw up then no worries, a body shop who do sports cars (lotus etc) with lots of CF will fix for you.
Dremel polishing pad and T Cut. The fading has disappeared and depth of the carbon fibre returned. More rubbing down by hand Finished off with Mr Sheen! I wasn’t after an immaculate finish just wanted to get rid of the grey fading.. Great job Thanks lads.
Great depth, better lighting. I must have been smiling when I was using the Dremel, I can feel T Cut between my teeth!
