Went for a bike ride with junior yesterday. Today is a recovery day for me he’s outside playing football
Phoning around for two tyres for the landrover as monitor or repair came up last year and getting nowhere fast as ATS don't sell them anymore and another company can't do the size conversion...tosers
After fighting this flu bug for two weeks both myself and the Mrs caved in today. Strangely it’s got worse again over the last couple of days. We went to the doctors and got antibiotics. Normally we don’t but this is the worst I’ve had in 20 years. Avoid this bug at all costs. You know you’re I’ll when you’re not interested in riding a bike.
Up to 18 deaths in Ireland with the current strain of flu seems to be a really nasty dose hope you all GWS
Went for a ride on the scrambler - first time in about 3 months due to weather or being away for work... roads much busier than I expected... so only 90 miles this morning... just finished cleaning it and the car... Think its beer time...
Wow, hadn’t heard about that. Probably much higher figures in UK. ( More people). I think I’m still alive. I think, therefore I am. Yup, still going. Gonna have a look at the Monster now to cheer me up and consider when n how to fit the Healtech Quickshifter. Carr01, did it get better then get worse again? Hope all improves soon in your household.
Used my Forum trade card to buy 4l of oil in Halfords. Castrol Power 1 Racing 10W-40. Regular price £41. Forum price £28.70. Going to treat the Triumph to new filter and oil at 750 miles. It had 120 on it at a year old (!!!) when I got it in Oct. and the dealer did first service on a time basis (12 months). I am not happy to just leave it in “running in” oil until the next annual service.
Been a busy boy today with the mighty fantic caballero p6 motor reassembly. Could not find the clutch push rod ball bearing anywhere so had to call it a day there. Puddy
Been up town today to see if I could get my slippers re soled. This partial retirement might cost me a new pair!!! Steve
I went horse-riding today, with a giraffe alongside and a lion chasing me. It was pretty frightening until the bloke stopped the carousel and told me to get off.
Went to Imber on Salisbury Plain. All the residents were turfed out in 1943 by the army so it could used for training before D Day, it was only going to be for about 6 months but things have dragged on a bit. It's open to the public for a few days a year and their is a service at the church.
Wife was back at work today and I wasn't so a bit of a lazy morning. Then popped out for an hour with my dad on the bikes. Back home and a spot of lunch. Then walked for the dog for an hour and a half. Now waiting in for vigin to turn up and sort out the TV.
I haven't had a wee for about four weeks now. I'm beginning to think it was a waste of money buying that garden slide.
Well it was beautiful at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park though the walking was a tad tiresome because of the mud. And the food was very nice too.
Car-tyre puncture mended, spare wheel swapped out and put back in its under-car place with a smile - all for £18 and a happy new year to all. Nice to have places to get friendly, reliable repairs done
