What happens if the vulnerable neighbour falls down stairs and breaks his spine and requires major surgery and round the clock care for the rest of their days? What happens if one day the person or people running the voluntary food bank which feeds the homeless can no longer run it? Fascism is a top-down form of government, with no important differences from Communism. Jumping to the end - I would argue, same as you, that a form of government is essential in maintaining societal cohesion amongst disparate (but culturally-linked) communities. We only differ in the degree/scope of government that is necessary or healthy.
I don't think we disagree but we don't know what the ideal/correct extent of government is. I think it is somewhat fluid depending on a number of societal needs, that then gets corrupted by government (or wanker control freak politicians )

I don't disagree, government is generally made up of 'jumped-up' councillors who are self important people who couldn't get a proper job or corrupt self important people who have amassed loads of money - there is no real difference between them as in the end they are after lining their own pockets under teh disguise of doing the right thing for others. Best not bring up religion here
