I couldn’t remember if Labour had, I have voted Lib Dem in the past - purely based on them saying they’d put 1p on tax and what they’d do with the extra money raised. Didn’t care if the numbers added up but at least it seemed like a good idea.
You can, if you give it directly to the charity or organisation of your choice. But then of course, it wouldn't be "Tax". With Tax, you have no control whatsoever as to who or what receives your "contribution". I'm sure that's just fine though, Government is pretty trustworthy, right?
