Does anyone know if the wiring loom from an 848 evo corse edition (TC and quick shifter) can be fitted to a 2012 848 evo (non corse edition)? I want a quick shifter but have the option to buy a complete loom and ECU with TC and QS but not sure if it will be compatible with the dash? anyone tried it already?
personally I wouldn’t touch these with a barge pole! I had one for a bit and could not get it set up resulting in scary 100mph false nuetrals. One of the reasons is that the coils switch off after a few seconds so you can only set it up running which makes it a faff, also when I got it shifting nicely in 1 or 2 gears it didn’t shift well in others depending on load. I would go with a Translogic and indeed am tempted too as it has its own ecu and learns the shift pattern (so they claim)
I think there is two versions of the dash. The 2012 should be the later and would support the evo set up @andyb may be able to help
There's two different versions of the dash. The later one is much nicer re the way it illuminates, I'm not sure if this is the only difference. I have swapped dashes about between 848 1098 and 1198 without issues. Unsure if any were evos though. There is definitely a difference in the start circuit between the 848 and evo, so be wary of that.
Cheers guys. I do have the evo dash And I’m fairly confident the evo corse wiring will fit, I was just curious if anyone had done it in the past to take the guess work out of it for me. @Nelson think I saw you are on the mugello NL trip.... see you there
No mine doesn’t have DTC at the moment. but the module comes with the loom i intend to get. As does the ECU and QS.
