Hi. Just wondering if anyone can throw some ideas out or if this is something someone’s come across before. I did have a search but nothing that matches my problem. So here’s my issue .... ive had my bike for a year now. When I 1st got it I fully stripped the plastics /fairings off the bike and give it a good clean. Yep I jet washed the living shit out of the bike. The bike then ran and I dried it all off and went into a heated garage and onto the trickle charger. 2 days later the battery was dead. Fully dead. Wouldn’t charge on a charger. I Went and bought a new battery and bike was fine for months. Was used a few times on and off the trickle charger. So after about 5 months of a new battery I give the bike a quick clean. Just washed and rinsed. Back on charger. Few days later it was fried again. I took the battery back and swapped for a new one. Now it’s been another couple of months and I cleaned the bike on Monday. Just gone in garage and it’s bloody dead again. It was making a clicking noise from the dash area. Just took it off charge. What could this be? Guessing the waters shorting it out somewhere? Strange as it’s on charge. is there any common places I can check. I have checked all round the battery /relays/fuses and ecu and can’t see water getting in anywhere. Thanks
dumb question time. Can I find this out online? I have no paperwork saying it’s been done. also I’ve left it on the trickle charger and it’s picked up some charge. Dash now lights up.
I think this is it, some others will offer the alternative if this isn't it, https://www.ducati.com/ww/en/service-maintenance/recall-campaign might also be worth checking your main relays and where they plug in as sometimes these become a water trap
