  2. On a lighter note, I like the way you say it was right outside your house, The Nags Head!!!!

  3. Sad to see, owning a van comes with the pitfall of not if but when it will be broken into, I have been done twice in the last 4 years.

  5. You could always take a picture of the van inside but empty, but then put those on the back panels where the windows normally are so it looks like you are looking into an empty van, a wrapping company could do this.At night time the fuck wits will think it's real

  6. Sorted for the time being. Pulled the door off, chocked up at the bottom and bounced on the top bit. not ideal but decent enough til the new door’s fitted. Problem is, when you bend thin sheet steel like that then bend it back, it’s left weak as f*uk. I’ll brace the door on the inside so it won’t open then just use the opposite sliding door.

  8. Do you know it, Steve. Apparently it was a biker’s spot until recently. we are truly blessed here...
Behind the Nag’s Head, there’s a premier Inn for when wife kicks me out and a Toby Carvery at the end of the road! :)

  10. Completed a little bit of creative engineering on the R6 where a previous owner had rogered the locating pins on both handlebar switch gears. Not the most stylish repair but functional. New brake lever fitted and just waiting for a clutch lever insert to arrive so I can fit a new clutch lever. Nose and seat fairings to sort out, tyres to change and the bike will be ready for Almeria. Ady

  11. Good job you had the foresight to cage it inside Ian, and that's a nice job done on the temp repair considering you had to jump up and down in it:upyeah:

  12. Had to fit the cage for the insurance. The handrail molds alone are £10K each and our vans get done over on a regular basis. I’ve been lucky, touch wood. Only been done over twice in the last 6 years and they never got anything out.

  13. Had the pile-o-poop washed for it's mot tomorrow. The last time I had an mot on a car done was in 2008. I don't like giving mot testers shitty cars but the Romainians who washed it (do a great job by the way) realised I had paid for the silver wash which meant they put a free air freshener dangling from the mirror that smells like boiled cabbage and pigs trotters. :mask:

  16. @bettes sorry to hear of the trouble you've had...........could you not hear anything going on from inside the house?

  17. Yes mate. I did here a small pop but thought nothing of it. Apparently they use a small inflatable bag, pull the top of the door open a few mm, then blow the bag up using a small hand pump. There were no marks around the door to show it had been prised open. Clever bastards!

We’ve also agreed to do a trip to Wales, a trip to Cornwall and a trip to the Dolomites too :)

  20. I was watching a cookery programme on TV last night and they were checking out a new range of Mediterranean sausages that Elvis Costello has just launched. And according to those testing them they were delicious:

Apparently.........Olive Salami is here to stay.....
