  3. Fair point but even pro riders are not definite in what they feel. Its 100% accepted that they make a difference in MotoGP and everyone has them. Its possible that they make so little difference that only the top twenty riders in the world can get any advantage from them but personally I think this is extremely unlikely since they are for the most part doing the exact same as the rest of us, and Redding is an actual GP rider so they should be doing something for him whether he feels it or not? Ducati have lead the development because they have access to the very expensive wind tunnels and personnel needed to research them, they are not just using them because they look posh?

  4. Take one off. They feel the difference then ;)

  5. Whatttttt? If you take just one off, you'll go around and round in a circle :D

  6. So, as the wings make the V4 too wide for the transport pallet, my plan is to run day 1 without them and stick with the Metzeler Racetech RRs currently fitted which should be good for at least another day. I’ll fit the wings for day 2 and hopefully have enough tyre left to get a comparison with day 1. Days 3 and 4 I’ll be running Pirelli Superbike slicks which I hope will be a positive step forward although I expect day 3 might be a step backwards as I learn to adapt to slicks. Day 4 should be a hoot and hopefully there will be an overall improvement in my riding. Downside is I’ve got to wait until May. Andy

  7. Android, have you already tried the pallet with wings on? I was guessing they would fit as they’re not wider than the bars!! Or I’ll have to remove mine before Jerez!

  8. No mate but from experience with my 1098R, the front brake protector just pokes outside the pallet. I also use the space between our 2 bikes for kit bags and helmets which the wing would severely restrict. Given some of the comments, I will be interested in seeing if there truly is a benefit for an average rider. Andy

  9. You have to leave the wings on, as the forklift driver finds the truck holds a better line when moving the stillage.

  10. Thanks Andy,I’ll whip em off I think! As for if they make any difference or not,in my opinion even if a professional rider can’t tell any difference the data must show it does or they wouldn’t use them! So it may not improve their lap times but it would I imagine make it a bit safer for them as in bike more planted! They don’t just put them on for a laugh!

  11. If they give you more confidence then yes they will work ,but in reality ,unless you can take your bike to the limit without them ,you do not need them for the extra 10th of a sec or so they may give you (possibly)

  12. Could be useful spot to mount a go pro tho :upyeah:

  16. Time will tell and I'll let you know after I've tried the wings in anger, either way. Andy

  17. Last June I was hooning down the back straight at Aragon, the speedo when blank at 186 MPH.. At no time did I think I need down force and by the time I had scrubbed speed off to take the sweeping left hander I would not have been going fast enough for a little set of wings to make any difference.

  18. I've also read it helps with stability in general. It would be nice if it irons out the wobble a little under hard acceleration around 125 - 130mph ish and up.

  19. Can't see wings being advantageous at all at our level. Downforce, front end stability and blah blah blah.... You load the front and add stability the moment you roll off. I know for fact I for one wouldn't feel any difference at all. Maybe the pro's can exploit whatever grip advantage there is to be had and make a tenth here and there
