Look Finm, I don't want to get into slagging off. I understand you are (quite rightly) a proud Scot and want to project a good image of Scotland. And, as I've said before, I have some very dear and lovely Scots friends. But...this universal image of a Scots people that are welcoming, helpful, friendly, un-bigotted etc. etc.... simply doesn't apply if you're 'English'. You can say it does as much as you like, but the truth is it doesn't.

Have I ? Just because you (rightly) dispise anti English (or any other type of) racism in Scotland and work hard to eradicate it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. In fact, the mere fact you're trying to wipe it out evidences it really does exist.
yip, open a paper, any paper will do. anti this or that has always been a tool of our politicions and media up here. its what they do to keep us at each others throats. i'v almost definatly in the past used the lazy accross the board insult. i can understand why some might too in the past from people up here. mostly in the same way folks from the north and south of england do it too. its hard not to in convo when you see one part booming while the other is dying.
