Just thought I would introduce myself, I have been a long term 'lurker' but registered to introduce myself. I have currently got a few bikes in the garage. Been riding bikes for 25+ years and I have a particular problem with old yamaha 2 strokes, This is my latest 'Hybrid with a fully tuned 70 hp motor in it which goes like a scalded cat. I also have a bog standard YPVS which I have owned, ridden and rebuilt over the past twelve years several times. My 'work in progress' CRM 250AR which is now virtually finished The 'CB1000R at Cadwell (I think) I have ben promising myself a Multistrada 1200 for the past couple of years but due to me expanding my business I have not had the spare cash to get one as I keep taking on more staff to grow the business. I took the plunge yesterday and ordered a new 2013 Multistrada from Ducati Manchester which should be with me by the end of May. Not really sure where I am going to put it yet as there is no room in the garage so one of the above is going to have to go. Its a bit like deciding which child you like the least and decide to sell! I have had them all for a long time and have bonded with all of them. I am planning on running the Multistrada in and then riding it down to the Adriatic Coast in Italy at the beginning of August for its first big run out. Just hope I enjoy the Multistrada as much as my last Ducati (888 SP4) which I regret selling each and every day since it went. All the best Simon
Welcome to this place, Simon You'll enjoy the Multi - and maybe we'll meet up locally, when I pass from/to Wigan
Thanks for the welcome chaps, I have only just ordered the Multistrada and now have been offered a 900 superlight that has not been run for five years. It's only £500 so I could not refuse. I am going to have to do some explaining when the mrs finds out!!
Cheers had a call from Ducati Manchester, my bike should be in the dealership at the end of next week which is a month early, so should be riding it next weekend assuming they have the extras I have ordered (heated grips, termi pipe and a low seat because I am a short arse) feel like a kid on the run up to Xmas
Picked up the Multistrada today and have done about 100 miles getting to know it a bit better. I took a bit of a gamble as I did not have a test ride before I ordered it so today is the first time I have ridden one. It's quite simply the best damn bike I have ever ridden... Over the moon with my purchase so I just need to make enough room to get it in my garage.... Today has been a good day!
