Lovely bike - but not serviced since 2016! What are your opinions on the whole mileage vs time thing on servicing? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/274212537773
Not really an issue at that mileage - just needs a service now. Not sure why he is saying the belts were last changed 4 years ago as if that's a selling point though...
He's got away with belts but I'd want them changed or be the first thing I'd do. Oil and filter change would be a concern depending on how it has been used but not necessarily a deal breaker. Coolant condition could also be an issue. I'd use those points as hard bargaining over the price but not expect to buy it so you don't get sucked into paying too much - can't really comment on the price
Nice bike that. The lack of current service would not worry me, knock £750 off for that alone. So, £1k off and happy days. Prob needs tyres too.
Didn't know there was a 400 Monster, even if its Japan only. O259MGRFIPDucati M400cc Monster (2002 Very Rare in UK) Free Delivery.
Yep, you see them here in Ireland occasionally too, it’s a licence/power thing for those working their way to a full A licence.
Wasn’t this for sale at Riders ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-1...109045?hash=item4452092c75:g:UJMAAOSwjP9eJY2W Andy
Different one at Riders, this was for sale on here about 3 years ago, then at Bonham's April 2019 where it didn't sell and it's current owner made an offer after the auction to secure it. He is now selling it (customer bike displayed in the shop - a mate of the Ex Ducati Leeds Mechanic who works there)
did you see the low mileage red one hanging around last week? I got him to lower it to £3.9 from £5.9 and then it sold while I pondered on it :---)
No didn't see that one, you did well to get 2k off, shame you spent to much time pondering The one i linked to, looks very sharp and clean
the red one was better, I don't really regret not getting it, if I have to spend 24 hours justifying a buy then I didn't want it that much. The real snip came mid-summer 2019 - that was squeaky mileage and went for around £2.8. Again, I decided not to chase it so helps me with the logic when they are a grand more.
