how so? ive not read the entire article due to all the annoying ads (and it was boring) but is it not possible to police immigration, like what is done in NZ, Aus, the US ect yet allow certain peoples enter with out a problem if the are thought to be of value... providing they prove they are who they say the are and stick to the rules... or have i got it wrong again. serious question btw... i cant see the problem or why its stupid...

Out of interest today I decided to work out what would happen if 100,000 people with a particular chronic illness had the price of their medication raised to that in the USA, since Dominic Raab has now said that’s likely whereas before the election the Tories denied it. So for those 100,000 people it will raise everyone in the UKs tax bill by about £133 per annum. £4000 million across say 30 million working. That’s just one condition. Seems we are in line for much higher taxes.
