Had a great evening in Harrogate at the Ripon motor club presentation night. Super proud of the boy who came second in the Acklams Beta summer series despite missing a couple of rounds.
We had a fab meal last night at some friends house in Mytholmroyd. They told us they’ve just bought a property in Shropshire with 3 barns and 12 acres of land that they are going to renovate/convert to a house. It’s a good job he’s a construction manager and knows what he’s doing. The plans look fab! I’m now laid in bed wondering when would be a good time to get up without waking everyone up. And from here we are going to Leeds to see our grandchildren

My fence posts are still in place & untouched by adjoining neighbouring properties,so all good but now a hole in the roof,i've bunged it up with a plastic bag for the time being until a matching tile can be located.
Went to Sherburn for a natter with mates, bought 2 pairs of bike gloves: a pair of Weise and some lighter weight Furygan to use on the lil 2 stroke
Just spent a couple of hours cleaning the roof on my Audi A5 convertible, looks a lot better, time well spent.
Gave the 1098 a full venture shield kit today , I've done 5 or 6 bikes now its still a pain in the ass !! But were ready for good weather
Went out to the garage with the full intention of taking the swing arm out of the zed for a recoat (6 years of regular use, and its got a fair few scratches on it and theres a load of flaked paint at the front where all the crud from the road hits it....then i found out i need a special castle socket to get it out....abandoned that, went back in side and dossed round the house all day...
Great day, went swimming with the dolphins in the Bay of Plenty, large number of dolphins around the boat, absolutely great experience. Topped it off by taking our 8 year old son to a kart racing track and spent an hour chasing each other around the circuit. First time in a kart, his best lap time was only a second off mine
Today I have been notified that the independent financial advice I received quite a few years ago to self invest a preserved defined contribution pension pot did not meet the current guidelines of what is and what is not appropriate. However, before I rush out and spend, spend, spend, I need to accept the potential compensation isn't going to be life changing as the value of the pension pot transferred was only £7000 Still, might be enough for a night away in a cheapy hotel. Took an important automated call today telling me that my Amazon Prime account would be renewed at a cost of $39 in two weeks. If I wanted to cancel I needed to ring a supervisor. As I don't have an Amazon Prime account, I find it remarkable that they are clever enough to renew my non-existent subscription - top marks lads !
Emulsion coats done in our boudoir and en suite. Gloss tomorrow Not been in the garage for 2 days!!!! Also renewed Pani R insurance today. £340 which I thought was ok.
