V2 V2

  1. 200 quid a month is literally the cost of a standard PCP deal on the V2 though.
I couldn't imagine paying the equal amount of the bike cost monthly in insurance aswell.
Is there not an option to pay it in a oner? Saves a few hundred quid over here.

  2. I went and sat on a new V2 in the and couldn’t believe they still have shite spongy brakes very disappointing, you don’t even get the rear seat cowl instead of the monster backseat and for the price I think I’d be looking at a secondhand 1299S

  3. Price of the bike is virtually the same as in Britain, i paid 14k for the bike itself not counting all the extras.
Its the traffic zone that kills your insurance. If you live out in the woods somewhere you´d be paying way way less.

Edit: also what type of bike determines the cost as well obviously, it just so happens people die like flies on superbikes.

PCP is leasing? What do you mean by oner? Cash it?

I got a pretty good deal on the loan, its 1,45% (2,2% effective interest) interest but i can get that down even more after you choose to get your invoices electronically (they charge like 5 quid per invoice).

Oh and 5 year warranty (2 through Ducati and 3 through my dealer)

  4. They all have sponge like brakes until the bikes is running and ABS modulation pump is doing its thing... But agree that it should have had a calliper upgrade by now. That will be on the next model later this year:innocent:....

  6. For those discounting the V2 power delivery etc assuming that Euro5 will ruin it, it’s simply not true. The bike is more linear than the 959 without a doubt! I didn’t like the throttle slack, which is going to cost me £30 to sort and the brakes are a touch wooden, which I think pads will fix as it did on the 899. But overall it’s worth a fair look.

btw, does anyone who’s bought one know:

    1) whether it comes with a lithium ion battery? I don’t care at all but I need to figure out if my bike charger will work as it has bike trac so will need it.

    2) anyone know what the rear paddock stand pin size is? Looks like the ‘big’ hub, like the supersport S and the 1299?

  7. 1. Doubt it will have a lithium as its a base model and
    2. 40mill

  8. thanks, I’m going to need a new charger anyway so might just pick one up that does both.

  10. The 959 Corse comes with a swanky Lithium’s battery as standard .. V4’s is the same:upyeah: I’d like to think at this price point it should have one! Especially as they scrimmaged around for some old callipers :joy:

  11. It doesn’t, they spent all the cash on the swing arm haha

  12. The battery is a heavy old lump as standard. I didn’t even get it out of the box to fit to mine. Fitted my JMT lithium battery. They weigh so little. Had it on my past 2 bikes before this one. Still great.

  13. Took this out for a test ride on Tuesday was really impressed with the performance, it pulls like a train when it hits 8000rpm, an absolute cracking bike but sadly it doesn’t quite fix my broken heart that selling my 1199 caused

  14. Ah, I saw your pictures on Instagram. Nice. I think I'll treat my self to a Lithium Ion battery at some point nearer the end of summer, it's always nice to loose a few KG off the bike given that I'm keeping the stock exhaust which tips the bike just over 200KG fully fueled (200.4KG to be precise). For anyone that thinks that's heavy, I suppose it is but it just doesn't feel it at all, in fact it feels one of the lightest of all the Panigales I've ridden.

  15. Looks like they're selling well...

  17. Nice. Kinda lost track of what you had. I know you had the 899, but did you get the 959 before this latest version? Either way I think you knew you'd be back :upyeah: Congrats anyway. Love getting new bikes. :D

  18. 899.....then 959 and Scrambler Classic.........then same 959 and Scrambler 1100 Sport......then Scrambler 1100 Sport and Diavel 1260S..........and come 1st March the Diavel is gone for the new V2 (and I’ll still have the Scrambler 1100 Sport)

    :)

  19. Has anyone recommendations for sensible Insurance for the V2 ? Despite having 6 years no claims, the best I can get from confused.com is nearly £900.

    RBW.
