  1. Yes. They don't like going slowly (except perhaps for the namby pamby new ones...)

  2. Me Cyclist….and Motorcyclist……and car driver……and van driver!!

I have been knocked of my cycle by both car and van driver. I am out on it most days and most days I get cut up by drivers of all sorts of vehicles, bus drivers are the worst! Now I read on here about ‘hating’ cyclists…for goodness sake! We are all road users are we not and the thing that seems to be missing is some consideration for other road users. I don’t jump lights. I don’t ride on paths and I only wobble in the wind or some dipstick thinks its funny to drive past me at speed within one inch of me. I don’t mind as I catch them at the next set of lights. I suppose this is why people dislike cyclists because around town it’s faster cheaper and healthier so pricks at peoples conscience?
I also see car drivers heading the wrong way down roads and even trying to knock me off when I was on a cycle path??? (Yes Mr. Volvo driver I did get your number!) I see bikers driving far to fast and van drivers on the phone whilst overtaking…….nobody is perfect.
    Just live and let live…….Please?

  3. I dont see the problem of sharing pavements anyway. If everyone adopted an attitude of lets look out for others as much as ourselves, imagine how much safer the roads would be

  4. Dunno, and I couldn't give a monkeys either. I ride a super fast motorbike, I'm a keen cyclist and I've got a van! I must be one of the most despised blokes on earth. Never mind, eh.

  5. Bet you're ginger too.

  6. Ha ha.... Not quite, dark brown and spitting dabs of George Clooney. Probably... It was a bit friggin close though, my younger brother is a full on ginger. Phew!

  7. A colleague of mine has a son who is (are you sitting down?) a ginger, vegetarian, Audi salesman. the horror........

But when you have the body of a god* like I do, why would you want to deprive the public of seeing it?

  8. I wear the longer legged trunks in the pool (jammers) because baggy stuff is just horrible to swim in (and downright dangerous for weak swimmers and children) and also out of the pool due to my gammy hip and leg when I find a pair of lycra shorts keep hip swellling under control and generally offer support, though for sake of public sanity they are always covered by a minimum of a pair of baggy shorts of at least equal length.

For regular beach goers a pair of lycra shorts are again a life saver under baggies, as they seal sand out of places you really dont want sand. The other thing is if you go into the sea in board shorts, then walk around with them still wet the wet salt laden shorts chaffe horribly, a pair of sneaky lycra shorts under the boardies cures this.

Every active man should have a pair hidden somewhere, they are a kit bag essential!!

    See, safely hidden from view.
