Hi, I have purchased a later box style swing arm for my early 749, I was comparing parts list, and the later one appears to have an eccentric washer either end of the spindle, however the early one doesn't. Do I assume the frame is different and if so, do i need these eccentric washers (part no. 75610071A) 2003 version 2007 version
your pictures dont work...eccentric washers do you mean the offset alloy parts that sit in the frame? as i remember the spindle spacers bearings etc are both the same..
Same image used from the 999 on the Parts Fiche, that's a 2003 749 frame in the pic and the Op will be able to verify if he has a round hole
Not sure - part lists show same as 916, 996, 748 so maybe an error. I have a new boxed Kit Black Swingarm which came with all the parts for the swap in 2003. I'm pretty sure it doesn't have another Pivot Bolt, it does come with a different brake line and also a template to cut for clearance at the rear of the fairing...
Parts books from 03 749 to 06 999 all have the same pivot shaft part number and show the same oval washer with part number 75610071A, 748 pivot shaft has a different number to the 749/999 one
Not on-line where I'm looking: they don't show the oval bit on the 749 - the 2003 999 does show the same pivot shaft though, but cross referencing the 749 doesn't show the 999 on the listing - I think the shaft is the same, 749 frame is round and not oval from the pic I posted earlier...
I have parts books for 749 and 749S issued in Oct 02 and Mar 03, and they both show the oval "Eccentric", what it says online may differ. Not sure what the current book download from Ducati.com says for the MY03 however.
