  6. After 5 years or so in a moderately damp shipping container, my late father's 400/4 is home. Hopefully by the end of play on Saturday it should be down the the frame for a complete rebuild... 20200203_091531.jpg

  7. Looks lovely as is for me with that patina in play.:upyeah:

  8. My nextdoor neighbor has one. His is pretty rough & ready but it sounds great.

  9. TBH - i could "probably" just get it started and run it...but, the damp has gotten into it....spokes are rusted, paint is flaking, most of the chrome is ok some really bad (generator cover) - so its leaning very heavily on my ocd nerve - it needs to come apart...to do justice to it...and my old man, bless'im....And to be honest...i love pulling stuff apart. Gives me a real buzz to make old stuff look good again....

  11. I used to have one of those ‘big bikes’ many years back
with all the noise of a very busy engine and trick exhaust it felt as though you were doing 80 when in fact you were doing 40!
    Good memories!

  12. The weather was nice, sunny & dry, today so I took the new to me ST2 out for a bit of a shakedown, it's actually quite a good bike for €1300:), just needs a bit (well at least a couple of days work) of TLC. I'm quite liking it. Shame it's not going to turn anyone on:(

  13. Last night I almost talked my way out of getting a speeding ticket by telling the police woman she looked bloody stunning.

But then I fucked it up by saying “And that’s not the drink talking either”

  15. Back from a few days in lot et Garrone where we have sealed the deal for our new home. Coming back to this cold miserable place makes it worth all the headache.
Love the house cos it reminds me of the spaceship in button moon lol and it’s gone a small vineyard for the all important red wine
