Mine's a 15 plate with 900 miles on it (450 when I bought it) I never told anybody what I paid for it but it was over both of your guesses. If I was in the market for one now, I'd look at that one for that price. The story of my Sat Nav holder.

The bike needs a good check over, but the Consumer Rights Act states that you should expect any car/ bike to be of ‘satisfactory quality’, ‘as described’ and ‘fit for purpose’ at the time of sale. If any of these criteria aren’t met the dealer is under a legal obligation to rectify any faults at their cost. If repairs performed fail to rectify the fault reported, you’re entitled to a refund. So it might be worth a punt and if it turns out to have problems, return it.
