Yeah, but it's not always that easy. Appreciate what your saying but once they have your cash...... Probably best to pay by credit card.
Totally agree. The more protection you can line up the better. But a BIP 996 at that price, with the law on your side & credit card payment is worth thinking about.
Agree. Dealer, sold as seen, no warranty. Fit for purpose doesn’t come into it if they state sold as seen @Jez900ie. My guess is they took it in PX now realised it needs a fair few bob throwing at it and just want to move it on
The consumer law is as I wrote in my earlier post. If they are selling a vehicle it must fullfill all the criteria listed. If they are selling a collection of parts that is different. The dealer does not have the gift of changing the rules.
I don’t disagree the law is as you stated but the moot point is what is one buying? A road worthy motorcycle with a valid MOT or a motorcycle that needs some work doing to it to make it roadworthy?
This one’s perhaps a better bet than the 916 we’re talking about https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/333507653264
If its a motorcycle and not a collection of parts, to me it would be a better buy than the 748 with a 916 engine (and a bloody awful paint scheme). But each to their own.
