Love the detail, it properly elevates the bike to something unique. If I ever come across a large sum of money, I shall ring your doorbell, hand over the cash and say "do that to mine"...
Did you mean the ignition switch cover? If so it's available from Lieb Speed in Germany. I also have their tank cover which I have yet to fit. Be happy to Bluehawk. If or rather when I hang up my headset for good I might seriously consider future projects for others.
The more you read, it's more apparent how much thought has gone into all of the detail and I'm sure a lot of fettling and rejecting parts goes into it. Not an easy thing to do. Although the breaking down takes time, other things will become extra work I'm sure. Love the fixings for the ignition barrel cover and the cover itself...
Afraid so. I'm just as frustrated and I've not even ridden it yet. The bike has less than 10 miles on the clock and I'd hoped to have finished it by now but there is simply nowhere local to me that is suitable to house it and where I would be able to work on it, so it's in secure storage until the new man cave is ready mid to late June.
Damn - I feel for you - at that rate you could miss the season altogether. How much time would you say you need to complete it? I’m over in Lincolnshire otherwise I would offer you the space to complete it - unless you want to put it all in a van and take a week off work! I have two bikes in bits in the house already so another wouldn’t matter!
No sorry i meant the tank cover that covers the tank belly above the back wheel from stone chips ect have u a link for it plz
Well I'm hopeful two to three weeks to complete it. I've got a LOT of parts still to fit. That's a very kind offer LiveFast, so thank you. If I had the space I'm sure my wife would have let me keep it in the house but we downsized after the kids went to Uni so space is very limited. Her bike is also in storage as well!! Agsin it's made by LiebSpeed James. Have a look here: http://www.lieb-speed.eu/product_in...-guard--panigale-v4---v4s---speciale---r.html
Thanks for sharing all the pics from the process. May I ask if you made a list of all the fasteners for the V4 that you purchased for the project, and if so, if you would be willing to share said list
I did make a spreadsheet of them all so that won't come as a surprise to most!! I'll have a rummage around for it and let you know.
This thread got better, then nose dived when you said a 4 month wait!! I’d also be interested in a bolting list if you can find it, I’d like to swap a few of the more visible and used ones on mine to some better quality stainless ones.
Out of my control Joe. Wish that it were different but it's not. As said earlier I'll try and find the relevant file and post it up shortly.
Wow - what a fucking build!!...1 of these pics is now my lockscreen and the other my desktop... PS makes my garage look like a shithole.
What a great thread, attention to detail second to none - a real credit or your patience, skill and drastically reduced bank balance. Which of all the different CF suppliers you used did you find to have the best quality/fit? Looking forward to the resumption once your new man cave is finished.
I know I’m only messing. Are you going to do a garage build thread by any chance? Love a project regardless of shape.
Playing catch-up on the thread and just love it. Thank you. Plus one for the rear light protector film. I cracked my light in my v4s with a stone flung off the wheel. Expensive replacement. For those with the new V2, take note as no doubt you will face the same issue.
For those that asked for it, I can only email a copy of the fasteners spreadsheet to you, as the forum does not allow Excel files to be uploaded.
