Agree, I think this would be a good idea, although I'm not sure Ventureshield or the like will really protect it from a stone big enough to crack it. The Panigale 1199/1299/899/959 suffered the same issue tbf, maybe not quite extreme. The V2 hugger looks to cover the wheel a little more than the V4 one which has a big cut away brake side.
The way I saw that lad going around Oluton Park on Saturday I’ll deafly say it’s an improvement on the 959 keeping up with a litre superstock bike that’s racing in BSB this year
Would like to see it when all done and with the carbon exhaust tip as this was an option I was going to buy. So far just ordered it with carbon hugger and swing arm,front mudguard,exhaust shield,radiator grills.
Just had an email mines getting delivered next week, fairings from Ducati have turned up today as well. They’re gonna get it on the Dyno while waiting for a VRN then the little minx will get delivered to moi to have all its kit taken off.
Mines at the dealer as well but it seems its gonna take a while to get all the parts from Ducati as the exhaust is not in stock and the pillion cover. We got out first snow up here just now so i guess i can wait a bit longer
Yea i guess you could say so. I got a slight price decrease on the bike itself and free mounting of all components including the slip-on. Even if i had gone full exhaust system he would have put it on for free, Then outside the Akra i got around 17-20% rebate on the rest of the parts. If you can post a comparison, or even just a vid, of the Akra on the V2. So far noone has posted one that I can find. Tempted to buy one, but I don’t want to attract too much police attention/piss the neighbours off.
Yea I´ll get some videos of the exhaust dont worry, but at first it will be cellphone quality but eventually the plan is to invest in a GoPro and a Zoom H1 to get some high quality content. I´ve not heard the V2 with Akra in real life but i have heard the 1299 with the same exhaust setup and i mean its loud. Heavy bass loud and i expect the V2 to sound more or less the same. The heavy base also makes it slightly more comfortable on the ear compared to say the V4 with full akra system so i think a V2 will annoy people slightly less than the V4. Also an update on my bike, Its at the dealer and all parts except the reverse shift pattern part has arrived so they will start to assemble the bike next week. Will go to the dealer as soon as all parts are on the bike and get some footage for you guys.
