UK doesn't need the acu sticker. My shuberth c4 didn't have one. It's only if you're going to use it for motorsport etc as far as I'm aware.
For some years, many UK track day providers have included in their terms and conditions that riders must wear a helmet with an ACU sticker. As far as I remember, when riding on UK tracks, my helmet has never been inspected. With genuine and fake ACU stickers freely available on eBay, IMO, it’s pretty pointless now. To my knowledge, UK retailers of Nolan and XLite helmets are provided with loose ACU stickers for compliant helmets should a customer request one but they are not usually supplied already stuck on. I’ve just bought the XLite 803 Ultra Carbon (arrived on Monday). It was supplied by Sportsbikeshop.co.uk and it came in a sealed XLite box inside Sportsbikeshop’s own box (so I assume the XLite was factory sealed). I have just checked my helmet and it has an ACU sticker on it, so given it came in a sealed box I’m assuming it was done in Italy.
So the acu sticker thing is a bit old and ive never been checked on trackdays even though they say they do.... this is more appropriate...
Yeah yeah and your number plate must be a certain size with the maker/ supplier marked and the correct spacing. These are BS laws/rules to satisfy some whiny jobsworth dumbfcuk, which can be used against us but rarely are -imo.
My information may not be absolutely up to date but certainly was true for the previous generation 802RR. Andy
My Shoei came from France with no Gold ACU sticker. I contacted Shoei UK as wanted to use it on track and they told me to take it to my local Shoei dealer, which i did, they checked it was authentic and put a sticker on for me.
should have called this thread, 'does anyone know about gold stickers' . the best answers wins errr, a gold sticker?
