Too wet to work, came home, lit a fire, marinading some chicken for later, might take the dog out if it stops raining, paid some bills including the bikes insurance, maybe a pint later, living the dream.
It is now back to being a great pub again, it went through a bad spell but now it's packed, rugby on, football on, music some nights and the beer is always good. How long have you been away from Marlow?

Well despite the flooring people doing all the measuring for the job it seems they've cocked up with amount of wastage generated so we are short by at least 1sqm and it may be as much as 2sqm according to the fitter And they can't get the additional materials to us before next Wednesday and the fitter cant get until w/c 9th March. So we will have a patch of floor not done till then I don't know why I listen to SWMBO sometimes. Carpet was fine IMO
Have taken SWMBO away for a weekend (brownie points). While she had a facial and some other treatment I sat in the sauna (hot) then the pool (cool) then the steam room (sweaty) then sat in the jacuzzi for ages until I read a sign which said ‘do not stay in the jacuzzi for any more than 2 cycles’ by which time it was too late and it had turned my muscles to jelly and I could barely get out.
Be careful on the edge where they've stopped, oak is very brittle and you can lose that edge, protect it with some old carpet or underlay, we normally allow 10% over for cutting, sounds like someone got the maths wrong.
